Worked, broken, repaired – that’s how it works in most cases. But then an appliance has to be repaired forever because you first have to find out what the problem actually is. And that costs a lot of time and money. Reducing these unplanned idle times would be ideal – and easy to implement with Endpoint Analytics! How?

Reduce idle times with endpoint analytics – how?

Endpoint Analytics is a cloud service that helps identify policy or hardware issues that can slow down devices. It enables IT to take proactive measures before users experience faults or generate a helpdesk ticket.

Endpoint Analytics can also alert you to issues that can negatively impact the end-user experience. And often before your end users call the helpdesk or even realize that something is wrong.

In a nutshell: While the device is working normally, check in parallel how it is behaving and what problems could occur in the near future.

It also gives you the power of proactive remediation: automatically detecting and fixing the most common issues that affect your end users’ productivity. At the same time, the number of helpdesk calls initiated by these issues is significantly reduced. You can start by using the built-in proactive “remediation” created by Microsoft or use scripts created by the IT Pro community. Of course, you can also create your own scripts to address the most important recurring elements in your environment.

But that’s not all. If you gain insight into your landscape and place it next to the collected, anonymous data of other Endpoint Analytics users, you will be helped to understand which behavior only occurs specifically in your own landscape. This is often the result of poor settings. In this way, problems can be resolved easily and in the long term and IT can be sure that it is in top shape.

How do I get to Endpoint Analytics?

Regardless of where you are in your cloud journey, getting started with Endpoint Analytics is easy! Endpoint Analytics is a feature of Microsoft Endpoint Manager. Most customers can sign up by simply going to

Reports > Navigate to Endpoint Analytics in the Endpoint Manager Admin Center and click on Start.

Configuration Manager (Release 2002 and later) customers who enable tenant attachment can use Endpoint Analytics by these steps. If you have access to the Admin Center, try this link https://aka.ms/EndpointAnalytics.

What’s in it for me?

Problems are detected before they disrupt the user’s work. It is easier to focus on solving the problem without any time pressure. In addition, if it is not possible to solve the problem remotely, it is easier to plan a replacement device for the user.

In summary, it can be said that idle times can be reduced with Endpoint Analytics. And thus save time and money.
